Mitchelli Trattoria in Pioneer Square

Mitchelli Trattoria use to be what I considered a hidden gem of a happy hour spot in Pioneer Square unfortunately things have changed over the years. The martinis (classis, gibson, dirty or fruity) are now half the size they once were, use to be served in martini glasses now served in what appears to be a cordial glass and their prices went from $2.75 to $3.25. When you consider it would take two drinks to make a normal martini you'd be paying $6.50 which is not a very happy hour special to me. $3.25 for a normal sized martini at happy hour is a good deal, half the size not so good.

They still have their $1.00 pizzas which are the size of a bread plate, so yes they are small but they are worth the buck you pay and you are offered a few options: Italian cheese, margherita, BBQ chicken and pepperoni. I've had the cheese and marghertia and have enjoyed both. Besides the $1.00 pizza they also offer the following for a $1.95: calamari fritti, Caesar salad and a baked artichoke-spinach dip, the calamari and salad are both good deals.
If you don't like martinis they also have beer and wine for $3.25 a glass but the wine isn't that great and they only offer the beer special on one of their drafts which never seems to be one I like.

Over all I'd rate Mitchell's 3.0 out of 5 cheers, the do have both food and drinks specials and free Wi-Fi access if you need it. Oh I guess I should mention their happy hour only runs Monday through Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
